Waiting in line must be the bane of existence for modern shoppers. Otherwise I wouldn't have experienced and witnessed some crazy behavior today. As I'm walking toward a checkout line with my six items, a lady with her adult daughter and their two full cartloads of stuff hurry to beat me to the line. Then when the store opens another lane to accommodate the crowded lines, a guy with a huge cart full of cat food and other items practically runs to beat me to the newly opened checkout. Unfortunately another lady had already beat him to the line and when he was too preoccupied making sure he beat me to the checkout he rammed his cart into the other lady's cart, which in turn almost knocked the lady off her feet. She's definitely going to have a bruise or two on her leg and hip. The worst part...the guy didn't say a word to the lady he just careened into. Some days you're better off to simply wait your turn.
